Combination 2007, june 15th.

==================================================

Declinations.

It's june 15th, near the summer solstice. The Sun declination is >23° north; the Moon's around 28° north.

Moon phase.

It's new moon: the Sun and the Moon are on the same side relative to the Earth.

Of the same signs.

When the Moon presents the same declination sign as that of the Sun, and moreover the same position sign relative to the Earth, as that of the Sun, the two spatioles, in a semi-diurnal tidal basin, act either both in advance, or late. It depends.

Near midday, the Moon and the Sun, almost at the same time, pass over the meridian (curve A). Both spatioles will be in advance, because of the north declination.

Near midnight, the Moon and the Sun, almost at the same time, pass over the opposite meridian. Both spatioles will be late, because of the north declination.

The graph of the spatiole times in the lagoon of Venice
(semi-diurnal tidal basin).

>> time >>

The passage of the two spatioles at midday.

The theoretical centre of the moon spatiole will be at Venice at 11.25 (u.t.+1) [curve A, decl. 28°12 north, in advance].

Almost at the same time, the sun spatiole [curve A, decl. 23° north, in advance].

No considerable effect on the water level in the lagoon. The effect will be experienced much later - because of what has taken place where the water depth is substantial - when the related tidal wave comes, the #12, which will be at its highest level at around 22.05 (u.t. +1).

The passage of the two spatioles at midnight.

At around midnight, an inverse combination will take place, when both spatioles are late, having to apply the curve B for that of the Moon, and for that of the Sun as well.

The theoretical centre of the moon spatiole will be at Venice at 01.34 (u.t.+1) of june 16th [curve B, decl. 27°48 north, late].

Almost at the same time, the sun spatiole [curve B, decl. 23° north, late].

No considerable effect on the water level in the lagoon. The effect will be experienced much later - because of what has taken place where the water depth is substantial - when the related tidal wave comes, the #13, which will be at its highest level at around 12,20 (u.t. +1) of june 16th.

On the interval between these two tidal waves.

The two tidal waves here considered do not get closer, they do not form a couple of waves. Instead, between the wave #12, in advance, and the wave # 13, late, there will be a long interval.

Indeed, the wave #12, in advance, will have the time to flow out of the lagoon, before the arrival of the wave #13, which is late. Thus, between these two waves, there will be the larger interval of june 16th.
