Combination 2007, june 30th.

Declinations.

It's june 30th, near the summer solstice. The Sun declination is >23° north; the Moon's over 27° south.

Moon phase.

It's full moon: relative to the Earth, the Sun and the Moon are on opposite sides.

Opposed signs.

If the Moon presents both signs - declination and position - opposed to those of the Sun, the two spatioles, in a semi-diurnal tidal basin, act either both in advance, or late. It depends.

Near midday, while the Sun is over the meridian (curve A), the Moon is over the opposite meridian (curve B). Both spatioles will be in advance.

Near midnight, while the Sun is over the opposite meridian (curve B), the Moon is over the meridian (curve A). Both spatioles will be late.

The graph of the spatiole times in the lagoon of Venice
(semi-diurnal tidal basin).

>> time >>

The passage of the two spatioles at midday.

The theoretical centre of the moon spatiole will be at Venice at 11.02 (u.t.+1) [curve B, decl. 27°46 south, in advance].

Almost at the same time, the sun spatiole [curve A, decl. 23° north, in advance].

No considerable effect on the water level in the lagoon. The effect will be experienced much later - because of what has taken place where the water depth is substantial - when the related tidal wave comes, the #14, which will be at its highest level at around 22.00 (u.t.+1).

The passage of the two spatioles at midnight.

At around midnight, an inverse situation will take place, when both spatioles are late, having to apply the curve A for that of the Moon, and the curve B for that of the Sun.

The theoretical centre of the moon spatiole will be at Venice at 01.05 (u.t.+1) of july 1st [curve A, decl. 26°50 south, late].

Almost at the same time, the sun spatiole [curve B, decl. 23° north, late].

No considerable effect on the water level in the lagoon. The effect will be experienced much later - because of what has taken place where the water depth is substantial - when the related tidal wave comes, the #15, which will be at its highest level at around 12.10 (u.t. +1) of july 1st.

On the interval between these two tidal waves.

The two tidal waves here considered do not get closer, they do not form a couple of waves. Instead, between the wave #14, in advance, and the wave # 15, late, there will be a long interval.

Indeed, the wave #14, in advance, will have the time to flow out of the lagoon, before the arrival of the wave #15, which, what's more, is late. Thus, between these two waves, there will be the larger interval of july 1st.
