Experiment B : back to the foreword.

=============================================

Experiment ‘B’ - procedure.

Instruments used in the experiment ‘B’:
(specified sizes, quantities and times are just those in the base protocol)

- sunflower seeds, able to germinate (20 grams, coats included);

- one instrument to grind the seeds with no coat into fine grains;

- two metal round plates, one used as the base (ø 125 mm), the second used as the cover (ø 110 mm), between which the crushed seeds will be placed and pressed;

- the bottom plate has a mark to be positioned towards the magnetic north; it is recommended to mark the degrees around the plate;

- one magnet;

- one instrument to press the two plates (it should be rather bulky, to ease the dispersion of heat in large quantity, thus preventing the increase of energy inside the system during the operation).

Procedure of the experiment ‘B’:

- remove the testa (hard coat) from each seed;

- grind the seeds to grains of 0,5 - 1,0 mm;

- place the ground seeds on top of the larger plate, forming a circle of the same diameter as the smaller plate, which later will have to cover them (the seeds) completely;

- position the magnet above the larger plate, pointing its north downwards, with its centre kept just above one point of the edge of the ground seeds, at the height of 25 mm.;

- at that height, move the magnet round the circumference of the circle formed by the ground seeds, clockwise (as seen from above), thirty times, once per second;

- place the smaller plate on top of the ground seeds;

- soon afterwards, press the ground seeds, applying the pressure very gently, allowing the heat generated in the process to be released out of the system; the operation takes 4-5 minutes, while the pressure is increased to 25-50 kg/sq.cm.;

- check for the place on the edge of the larger plate where the first drops of oil appear;

- when that happens, stop applying the pressure, remove the smaller plate, record the point or the area where the largest amount of oil can be seen.

Note.

Warning: applying the pressure in a short time it is possible to cross the threshold at which oil appears only at one point.
